The FDR type circular saw is a stationary machine designed for transverse cutting of boards with circular saws. Depending on the version, it can have from two to six cutting supports on which electric motors are mounted. The circular saw in each cutting support is mounted on the shaft of the electric motor.
The spacing between the circular saw blades is manually adjusted with a crank through a toothed gear coupled with the cutting supports. At the same time, the first support, looking from the side of the control panel, is always a fixed element and cannot be moved.
The feed movement of the workpiece is carried out by a chain conveyor with drivers, whose transport chain is driven by an electric motor through a worm gear.
The raw material to be processed is placed manually in the board magazine located at the beginning of the feeding zone, from which it is selected individually by the drivers of the feed mechanism towards the cutting zone. After cutting, the boards are transported to the material collection area.
