Staplers, splicers

A stapler / splicer is a machine that stitches a veneer. There are two types of splicers
1) Thread - a method of combining veneer with a thread in the so-called zigzag. The adhesive thread guarantees high tear strength and a tight connection even on corrugated veneers. The adhesive thread is pressed inside the element, thanks to which it does not require sanding.
Thread staplers have a simple structure. They have a solid body in the center of which the engine is mounted. There is a table top on the body, above which an arm with a stitching apparatus and control is mounted. A spool is also mounted above the suturing apparatus.

2) Bonding with glue - unlike the thread stapler, this method consists in joining the veneer with urea glue without the use of thread. The glue is applied to the edge of the processed material. This machine joins a smooth veneer at the end. Bonding with urea glue is mainly used in the production process exposed to high temperatures and tensile forces, e.g. longitudinal gluing of profile strips, as well as gluing in membrane presses.
Some machines have a built-in unit for applying glue, and in older models, glue is applied by a separate machine. The construction of the glue splicer is more complicated than that of the stapler. The new models are more automated, they have, among others, such features as:

  • Built-in glue aggregate
  • Stable machine body made of steel
  • Automatic start / stop function by means of a photocell
  • Improved transport chain made of special plastic
  • Patented slide rail system
  • Extremely narrow heating zones with temperature control
  • Clearly arranged control panel with all control elements
