There is still a very high demand for furniture, and hence - also for carpentry machines. Each carpentry workshop should be equipped with a sliding table saw. Without this machine, work would be difficult, if not impossible. Choosing the right saw for the carpentry shop is not that easy.
The first stage of purchasing a saw is the appropriate selection of the material that will be processed on it - whether it will be a board, wood, or maybe both ... A properly selected machine is half the battle! Below we will try to dispel your doubts and help you choose the right saw.
Panel saw
When cutting the board, it is very important that the machine is equipped with a long format trolley, which allows you to cut long elements (the standard board is 280 cm long). It is worth buying a sanding board with a trolley length of at least 300 cm. Another very important element of the machine is the scorer, which prevents the plate from "tearing out". An additional advantage is the widening and extension of the table top, thanks to which you can arrange the plate without any difficulties. As for the disc, it does not have to be large in diameter, as the board is thin compared to wood. It is also worth considering additional options, such as: upper control panel, electrically adjustable guides, thanks to which you can cut elements easier and faster.
Sliding table saw for wood
When deciding to purchase a wood saw, it is necessary to choose a blade of the appropriate diameter so that the cutting height is as high as possible. The saw can be equipped with a side or format trolley, which is made on steel bars, so you can cut both dry and wet wood. When cutting wet wood, it is important that the saw is fitted with a motor with a minimum power of 5,5 kW.
